Basic Tips For Feng Shui Office

Feng Shui Office For Maximum Productivity

Good Feng Shui tips for a prosperous career can be hard to come by. Most people are not aware that the proper use of colours and placement can often make all the difference in a person’s success. Good Feng Shui can not only provide an elegant and comfortable working atmosphere, but it can also help you attain personal success. In fact, Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese method that has been proven to increase productivity and profitability. This type of therapy is sometimes referred to as the science of alignment and is used in almost every industry.

Feng Shui does not provide a “one size fits all” solution. When putting together a good Feng Shui office layout, it is important to keep in mind the entire office space. All items in the office should be arranged in a way that is most pleasing to the eyes. Each area should be properly balanced and allow the “Qi” (energy) to circulates within the entire space.

These Feng Shui tips will help you create an environment in which you can feel productive and send you on the fast track to greater success.

Locate The Command Position

Let’s begin with the desk in the office, it should always be placed in a “commanding position”. You should have a vantage view of the room and door without being in direct line of the door or the main walkway. Sitting directly facing the door put you in direct confrontation with the rushing Qi, which can adversely affect your career advancement and relationship with your co-worker. The energy also causes you anxiety and the urge to quit what you are working on.

Never sit your back facing to door. It is a big ‘No’ according to Feng Shui. You will feel constant insecurity and encounter “backstabbing” from your co-workers.  If you can’t move your desk but are facing a wall or back facing the entrance, place a mirror on the wall, desk or on your computer monitor so you’ll be able to see behind you. This puts you back in a command position, where you can see what is coming at you-both literally and figuratively-in your career.

Most ideally, you should be able to walk around both sides of the desk. This encourages the Qi to flow freely around the room. If one side of your desk is blocked or pushed up against a wall, it can impact your income, as well as your relationships with co-workers, customers and prospects.

Strong Support

You can produce strong Feng Shui backing by positioning your chair so your back is against a solid wall. If this isn’t possible, try placing a row of lush plants behind your seating area.

A comfortable chair with a high backing is ideal for Feng Shui. It’s believed that a high back creates support and protection in your career.

Introduce Water And Plant Elements

Based on Feng Shui, different sections of space correspond to different aspects of life. For instance, the back left corner of your desk represents wealth and abundance. The back right corner represents relationships.

Incorporating water features and plants at a specific location is one way to creates and enhances energy. This can vastly improve relationships in the office and amongst co-workers, as well as attracting wealth and good fortune to you.

Trust Your Instincts

After your adjustments have been done, look around and feel the vibes. What is the feeling for you and others when they enter? Does the space seem to flow, calm and yet energized, are you feeling more comfortable?

If not, you might want to hire a professional consultant to help you organize and decorate your office according to the Feng Shui principles and elements.
