The Paradigm Trap
The human mind is one of the most powerful machines in the universe and a cure for a negative mind can only be found if you work at it and use your power to change your paradigm. This is a hard concept for those who complain, it just doesn’t seem like logic does it. It may seem like a lot of work but if you understand the physics of what occurs in our minds we will see how simple it is. So I’m going to give you a simple cure for a negative mind, but first, let’s talk about why you should care.
Seeding The Future - Your Thoughts
What you’re thinking is the seed of all your future emotions. If you don’t consciously decide to think things you’ll come up with whatever emotion happens. And that emotion will often not be what you wanted. In other words, your emotional reaction to something isn’t a problem so long as you fix the root cause and stop thinking before you react.
Here’s a good way to visualize what I’m talking about. Imagine you have this huge tree in your garden and you want to sit at its base and start digging up all the dirt. As you’re digging, you realize that the root causes of this problem are you and everyone else around you. So you decide to take some action. You create some leverage by blaming someone else for the problem and taking immediate action because you know that’s going to fix the problem.
That’s the mindset to look at things from. If you fix the root cause of your negative thoughts then you can fix the result of your actions. But many people complain that they act in these ways, so I believe the best cure for a negative mind is to start acting in ways that cause you no hardship. And this will give you the momentum to change your thoughts.
For example, if you’re having trouble with meeting sales then you might say to yourself “look, I’m selling this product over the Internet. If I’m not getting the results I want I’ll go out and try to talk to real customers.” If you keep focusing on being the person who is doing well and letting other people come along for the ride, you’ll quickly start to feel good.
It’s like the saying “work doesn’t make you happy”. If you’re not in an environment where you’re constantly working then how can you expect happiness? Happiness is not an abstract quality. Happiness is a concrete reality that you can experience right now.
The power Of Taking Action
So, to my friend who was in the “I’m not doing well” frame of mind and now wants a cure for a negative mind I would say “try doing that for a while”. See what happens. When you focus on something you should take action. Don’t try to postpone it or think about it later. Once you do something, decide that you are going to be consistent at it and make a difference.
When you focus on your action making a difference, you’ll discover that you don’t have the fear or the negativity hanging over you anymore. Instead, you’ll see that you’re moving forward towards your goal. A cure for a negative mindset does exist. It’s up to you to get started.
What we usually end up doing when we procrastinate is we put it off until another day. The problem with this is we never finish or do anything. By putting it off we put ourselves in a position of failure. A cure for a negative mindset like this can be easily attained by anyone by taking action now.
What You Think, You Become
If you’re thinking that you can’t get rid of the negativity within yourself, it will prevail. You’ve heard the saying, “action speaks louder than words”. Well, this saying is more true than you might realize. The first step to acquiring a cure for a negative attitude is to begin to focus on what you want from life. Begin to focus on the result that you desire.
An example would be: To acquire a cure for being fat, I must eat healthy foods and lose some weight. I can’t accomplish that unless I begin today to change my thinking so that it’s a positive outcome I want for myself. By taking action you’ll soon be on your way to acquiring your new healthy body. By believing in yourself and your ability to do something you’ve never done before you will be well on your way to accomplishing your goal.
