Energize Your Foyer Feng Shui

Welcoming Your Qi

The entry to your home is called the “Mouth Of Qi”, Which means the front door is the main portal for all the Qi or the Life-Force Energy to enter your home and life. It’s one of the most important aspects to look at in feng shui.

There are various Feng Shui tools and techniques that can be used to make sure that the entrance to your home is not blocked by excess, unwanted things, as well as promote relaxation and well-being. The basic idea behind Feng Shui is that there is a connection between what we see and what we feel. We may look at something and our initial impression of it may be one that is more positive than another. If we feel good about something, we tend to hang onto it, even if we do not like the object directly – this is due to the energy that is flowing through us from our positive emotions.

A simple way to practice Feng Shui for entry foyer can be the lighting and decorating with the appropriate elements inside your house: for example, you could use warm-coloured lighting to create a more cosy ambience or allowing the light of nature to come into these areas if possible, just make sure there are no shadowy areas. Adding in some greenery is also a good idea as Nature is always the source of life-force – all of us have a natural ability to connect with nature.

Door Way To Wealth

According to Feng Shui, the foyer is also the doorway to wealth and prosperity. Various items can be placed into the wealth area to “activate the flow” of the energy. One good example is by using a water feature.

Water, especially flowing water, is also related to wealth, abundance and cash flow. It is helpful to stir up and maintain the balance of the Qi so that it can move freely and not be stale and stagnant. Please take note that the flowing direction of the water must be facing inward to your home to encourage wealth and luck to flow in rather than out. Do remember to top up the water as it evaporates and never let the water dries up or stay still, keep it flowing, wealth will not be stagnant, but rather will become more abundant as time goes by.

It is important to ensure that there are no signs or images that block the natural flow of Chi. By doing this, through the vibes and interaction with the environment around us, we are able to heal ourselves and to let go of any negative feelings or emotions that may be associated with a particular object or area of the house. You will find that your home looks and feels much better – regardless of whether you are looking at it in the daytime or at night!
